Believe it or not, there is a population on Prince Edward Island of people living with HIV/AIDS. Many have made themselves available to talk to you if you’ve been newly diagnosed and need to talk to someone living with the disease to hear their perspective.

We’ll be happy to connect you with a person living with HIV/AIDS and work with you to determine what your needs are and how we can further assist you with finding a doctor and receiving treatment.
According to this article, the combination drug Truvada significantly reduces a gay man's (or a member of other high risk populations) chance of contracting HIV.
